Dignity Projects

Dignity projects are initiatives or activities designed to promote respect, fairness, and inclusivity ensuring that every individual feels valued and honored. This project is implemented in our school to encourage positive behaviors, addressing social issues, and create a culture of mutual respect.

• The P&G Sanitary Pads campaign is also one of the dignity projects conducted in our school to promote menstrual health and hygiene awareness, especially

among young girls. These campaigns focus on breaking taboos, educating people, and providing access to sanitary products. Raises awareness about menstrual hygiene. Educate girls about menstruation and its management. Dispel myths and taboos related to menstruation. Increase access to affordable and high-quality sanitary pads. Encourage a supportive community for menstrual health.

• A Self-Defense campaigns were organised various times by certified instructors of Sahyog Foundation. It is an initiative designed to empower individuals, especially girls, with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves in challenging or unsafe situations. This campaign aligns with the dignity framework by promoting personal safety, confidence, and respect for oneself and others. It includes basic techniques for escaping holds, blocking attacks, and using one’s voice to call for help. They teach situational awareness and how to identify and avoid potential threats.

• The Nirbhaya Pathak is a specialized unit established by the Maharashtra Police to enhance women’s safety and address crimes against women. Under the Dignity Project, in our school, a special squad of dedicated Officers comprises trained female police officers conducted educational programs to raise awareness about preventive and safety measures, women’s right and the importance of reporting crimes.

• An Awareness Program on Menstruation, Health and Hygiene by the Indian development Foundation (IDF). It creates awareness about menstrual hygiene and provide Sanitary pads/kit for a year to the young girls free of cost, to ensure that the needy students don’t fall short of facilities to have a happy period. A kit that contains 100 Sanitary pads, 4 undergarments, 2 Soaps, 1 towel and 1 cloth bag is distributed among underprivileged girls.
